After 12 minutes, Imre Trummi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 铸剑师 and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Imre Trummi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 邵荣川 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 15th minute. When Roque Evis came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the 铸剑师 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Evis couldn't finish the play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 秦常潮 in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, 铸剑师's Roque Evis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. When Alan Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alan Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

If Eustacio Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roque Evis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, 贺卫崇 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 65th minute, 邱俊广 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute of the match, Lautaro Puig got a very nice opportunity to score, but 邵荣川 was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Roque Evis scored 7-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Diniz in the 81st minute of the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 贺卫崇, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexander Carballo hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Lautaro Puig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to 铸剑师 getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. 鲁杰亦 hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the game, Roque Evis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. 铸剑师 fully deserved thier win.
