Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Marco Ureña scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. Ernesto Monge didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ernesto Monge came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Barrantes in the 20th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Monge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Barrantes in the 27th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Gerardo Millot managed to get in a good position for a shot. CS La Libertad's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Millot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Monge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CS La Libertad's Ernesto Monge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Ernesto Monge was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Agustin Barrantes struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CS La Libertad. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Agustin Barrantes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CS La Libertad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Agustin Barrantes hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. CS La Libertad's Luis Martinez was substituted for Rodrigo Lobo. After 48 played minutes CS La Libertad got a freekick which was hit by Agustin Barrantes. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agustin Barrantes made a kick off. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Luis Marin fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CS La Libertad's protests and gave Luis Marin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, Luis Marin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Monge acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 54th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Daniel Zorita. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Ureña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Agustin Barrantes sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Marco Ureña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 74th minute of play forced CS La Libertad's goalkeeper Ernesto Monge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Volio went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the CS La Libertad defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Monge. The CS La Libertad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Monge should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, CS La Libertad's İbrahim Efe Ergener got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The CS La Libertad fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
