The audience was convinced that Yalçın Saban's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 42nd minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute of the match Aykutalp Lemi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Onur Karacan to make any attempt to save it. In the 82nd minute, Şenel Alpsoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ecuador booed when SUVEYDİS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hüsmen Samir didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when 余正树 came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
