El Palmar

Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Francisco Seco started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Maximiliano Escribano took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Indalecio Blazquez. Indalecio Blazquez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 19th minute of the match, Oliverios Griego tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joaquin Gayoso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Cedro Echeto managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Palmar's supporters rose to their feet, but Cedro Echeto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 25 played minutes, Uruguay's Camilo Franco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Indalecio Blazquez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Uruguay reached it. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Uruguay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fran Azofra was slow to take the kick. During this time El Palmar's players had a chance to rest. Indalecio Blazquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fran Azofra came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Joaquin Gayoso could save by the left post. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fran Azofra in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, El Palmar's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Gisbert came free, but Indalecio Blazquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Fran Azofra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Fran Azofra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the match, Fran Azofra notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The wind increased when Fran Azofra made the kick off in the second half. Remigio Murcia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Fran Azofra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Fran Azofra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alberto Gisbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 69th minute of the game was made by Fermín Nieto with Fran Azofra as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Oliverios Griego fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, El Palmar's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Indalecio Blazquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to El Palmar getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Fran Azofra hit a great ball. El Palmar's Oliverios Griego got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Indalecio Blazquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 79 played minutes El Palmar got a freekick which was hit by Rami Zaplana. In the 93rd minute Fran Azofra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Oliverios Griego came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Uruguay walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
