An unexpectedly hard shot by Åke Skark in the 12th minute of play forced Yala's goalkeeper Octavio Ferrer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteve Abechuco couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Yavuz Acabay sped through FC Lassens's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gergely Dávid. Uno Vallman hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, FC Lassens's goalkeeper Gergely Dávid had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yavuz Acabay. FC Lassens's Gergely Dávid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yavuz Acabay in the 41st minute of play. If Åke Skark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yala's Jeronimo Caradaro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jon Lassen, made in the 46th minute of the game.

But to his dismay, Yavuz Acabay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 81 minutes of play, Yala's Carolo Bizen made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gergely Dávid was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of FC Lassens booed when Yala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gwendal Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gergely Dávid stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yavuz Acabay's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute Yala were awarded a corner. Esteve Abechuco went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Yala's Jeremias Derwin to fire away a dangerous shot which Gergely Dávid despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gergely Dávid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yavuz Acabay, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
