Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willy Reynolds in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Rozarius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Esmeraldas S.C.'s Aguinaga Nebot got control of the ball when Gafur Salim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gafur Salim's late challenge caught a Esmeraldas S.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gafur Salim helped the player get up and apologised. Willy Reynolds came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Elias Rozarius could save by the left post. After 86 played minutes Esmeraldas S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ghitã Fratea. In the 87th minute of the match Brian Lebigot sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aguinaga Nebot skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Unión De Santa Fe booed when Esmeraldas S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ghitã Fratea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Esmeraldas S.C.'s Marc Pringle got a free kick in the 91st minute. Elias Rozarius made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Willy Reynolds sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Unión De Santa Fe's Elias Rozarius got control of the ball when Willy Reynolds tried to sneak it across the goal line. Unión De Santa Fe's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
