The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zeledon Curcio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Baumar, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Yavuz Acabay made a precise shot to the right of Alvaro Valente. Scofield's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 15th minute, Yavuz Acabay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zeledon Curcio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Baumar, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Alvaro Valente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niki Bundev in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Yala's Freddy Claude got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Yavuz Acabay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Valente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Feliciano Baumar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Zeledon Curcio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Feliciano Baumar took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeledon Curcio. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

59 minutes into the match, Feliciano Baumar notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Yala's Zeledon Curcio. Zeledon Curcio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64th minute of the match Scofield got a corner. Yala's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alto Roca ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Alto Roca almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Yala's Zeledon Curcio did a great save. 70 minutes into the match, Feliciano Baumar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeledon Curcio. Yala's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Feliciano Baumar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Scofield made a substitution. Cayetano Urdin replaced Feliciano Baumar. Yala's Zeledon Curcio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Urdin in the 75th minute of play. After 77 minutes, Gao Cheng Fei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yala and the Scofield players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Yala's Gao Cheng Fei got a free kick in the 78th minute. Generoso Figueroa hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Zeledon Curcio came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Scofield's Cayetano Urdin. But to his dismay, Cayetano Urdin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. In the 92nd minute, Yavuz Acabay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Scofield booed when Yala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gwendal Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Yala's goal looked a bit too open when Alto Roca came free, but Zeledon Curcio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Yala players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Scofield.
