The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Argentino de Buenos Aires booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Argentino de Buenos Aires made a substitution. Aureliano Domiku replaced Carolo Frasquito. When Jonathan Venegas fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 98thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Argentino de Buenos Aires's Ulryk Bugajski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Argentino de Buenos Aires had won after a very even match.
