Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kyle Davies made the kick off which started today's match. Bruno Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horia Zăreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Curacao's goal looked a bit too open when Ion Oniga came free, but Bruno Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nichifor Abutnăriței was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. Miercani's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Nichifor Abutnăriței managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miercani's supporters rose to their feet, but Nichifor Abutnăriței was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Barrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Curacao:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Miercani:s goal. The referee gave Miercani a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Narcis Timofte, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Curacao's Bruno Barrett. 4-0. Nichifor Abutnăriței fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. Curacao's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Ion Oniga scored to the left of an out of position Bruno Barrett, making the score, 5-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Nichifor Abutnăriței managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miercani's supporters rose to their feet, but Nichifor Abutnăriței was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Barrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ion Oniga came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Miercani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ion Oniga couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Curacao's Bruno Barrett got control of the ball when Narcis Timofte tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ion Oniga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Curacao's zone, Nichifor Abutnăriței stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Barrett came out of the goal and Nichifor Abutnăriței tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Tinu, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute Marian Tinu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Curacao getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Bertie Johnson hit a great ball. Harvey Doyle's late challenge caught a Miercani's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harvey Doyle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harvey Doyle to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Iosif Pacuraru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marian Tinu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. If Horia Zăreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 65 minutes, Horia Zăreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miercani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horia Zăreanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Narcis Timofte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ion Oniga in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Barrett saved Curacao from getting behind. After 72 minutes of play, Miercani's Ion Oniga made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Barrett was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nichifor Abutnăriței might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Barrett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nichifor Abutnăriței ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Curacao defense, Ion Oniga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Barrett. The Curacao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Barrett should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marian Tinu in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Barrett saved Curacao from getting behind. In the 83rd minute, Troy Kennedy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ion Oniga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Miercani's Nichifor Abutnăriței nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Narcis Timofte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Barrett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ion Oniga in the 92nd minute of the match. Marian Tinu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nichifor Abutnăriței in the 96th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
