Result 2-0. In the 12th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th match minute, Anfield Road was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mattias Snell to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Wennerström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Puig in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Anfield Road's Brian Thorsberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Lautaro Puig might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adrian Wennerström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Puig ran back to his position shaking his head. Hannes Hedström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Hugo Ferrant's late challenge caught a Anfield Road's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Ferrant helped the player get up and apologised. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hannes Hedström got free with Benito Sanz in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Thorsberg in the 32nd minute of the match. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Brian Thorsberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 32 minute of play. When Efrain Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Efrain Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 48th minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Hannes Hedström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 59 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Brian Thorsberg came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hannes Hedström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis came free and shot a quick shot against goal 80 minutes in the game, fortunately Adrian Wennerström had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Snell in the 83rd minute of play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hannes Hedström in the 85th minute of the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Thorsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubert Hammarbäck in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that Anfield Road were the better team. Anfield Road's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
