Manos Papaiakovou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Pietrowiak in the 15th minute of play. After 16 minutes, Panagiotis Beloukas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Go Ahead Eagles and the Gunners ARS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Go Ahead Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Panagiotis Beloukas. 1-0 became the score in the 18th minute when Wieslaw Ziomkowski elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Mikolaj Piszczor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panagiotis Bourousis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Gunners ARS booed when Go Ahead Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christodoulos Vazakas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wieslaw Ziomkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Mikolaj Piszczor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panagiotis Bourousis in the 51st minute. Manos Papaiakovou came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Gunners ARS's Wieslaw Ziomkowski. But to his dismay, Wieslaw Ziomkowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Nikos Moustos hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Mikolaj Piszczor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giotis Kouloucheris in the 69th minute of the match. When Milosz Raszek fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gunners ARS's protests and gave Milosz Raszek a yellow card for diving instead. Milosz Raszek kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Nikos Moustos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ntinos Vounatsos during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th match minute, Go Ahead Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ntinos Vounatsos to maneuver through the defense.
