Przełęcz Dukla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giannis Papakostopoulos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Chatziioannou Kakratsas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Barnaba Wejta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Przełęcz Dukla's Barnaba Wejta got control of the ball when Chatziioannou Kakratsas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Przełęcz Dukla's goalkeeper Barnaba Wejta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Soulis Xanthakos. Thanks to some nice moves Alkaios Tsionas could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Barnaba Wejta however easily saved by the left post. Konstanty Dziewulski charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Konstanty Dziewulski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 played minutes Przełęcz Dukla got a freekick which was hit by Konstanty Dziewulski. Barnaba Wejta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alkaios Tsionas in the 20th minute. After 21 played minutes Go Ahead Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Chatziioannou Kakratsas. In the 22nd match minute, Przełęcz Dukla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaroslaw Prusek to maneuver through the defense. Barnaba Wejta was a little too slow when Alkaios Tsionas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. With his leg Barnaba Wejta managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Go Ahead Eagles's Chatziioannou Kakratsas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Barnaba Wejta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giannis Papakostopoulos in the 32nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Przełęcz Dukla defense, Alkaios Tsionas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barnaba Wejta. The Przełęcz Dukla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barnaba Wejta should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giannis Papakostopoulos in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Barnaba Wejta saved Przełęcz Dukla from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giannis Papakostopoulos to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Giorgos Tsartas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barnaba Wejta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alkaios Tsionas's late challenge caught a Przełęcz Dukla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alkaios Tsionas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th match minute, Go Ahead Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alkaios Tsionas to maneuver through the defense. Vaggelis Pagarliotas made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Kazimierz Harendarski sent off a good shot on target. Alkaios Tsionas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barnaba Wejta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Giannis Papakostopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Go Ahead Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giannis Papakostopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Alkaios Tsionas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Barnaba Wejta was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 5-0 when David Beckham sped through Przełęcz Dukla's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Barnaba Wejta. Barnaba Wejta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 86 minutes into the match, Przełęcz Dukla's goal looked a bit too open when Alkaios Tsionas came free, but Barnaba Wejta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute Giorgos Tsartas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barnaba Wejta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when Przełęcz Dukla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliks Walentowicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Alkaios Tsionas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Barnaba Wejta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 96th minute Alkaios Tsionas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barnaba Wejta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Go Ahead Eagles were the better team. Go Ahead Eagles's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
