The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. ROJO's Anacleto Honrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ametz Pedraza in the 6th minute of play. Derwin Comas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Honrio having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan-Francisco Saavedra in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anacleto Honrio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the match, ROJO's goal looked a bit too open when Ametz Pedraza came free, but Anacleto Honrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Javier Palben shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ponc Leyva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernabel Mezquita charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Humberto Santio made a kick off. Ametz Pedraza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Anacleto Honrio made a huge save. After 54 played minutes ROJO got a freekick which was hit by Roman Haritz. 58 minutes into the match, ROJO's goal looked a bit too open when Derwin Comas came free, but Anacleto Honrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Albir fc's Juan-Francisco Saavedra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anacleto Honrio. Anacleto Honrio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. After having played for 71 minutes, Derwin Comas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Albir fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Derwin Comas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juan-Francisco Saavedra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
