But to his dismay, Eusébio Magalhães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Chico de Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ponc Leyva was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. If Fernandão de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Albir fc's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Magalhães came free, but Ponc Leyva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Chico de Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ponc Leyva was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Juan-Francisco Saavedra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Vinícius Macedo made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Vicente Chaves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Vicente Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ponc Leyva having to interfere. Juan-Francisco Saavedra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Vinícius Macedo made a huge save. Ponc Leyva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Magalhães in the 38th minute of the match. Chico de Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ponc Leyva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chico de Brito ran back to his position shaking his head.

52 minutes into the match, Renatinho Linhares notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Albir fc's Ponc Leyva. Ponc Leyva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Naldo Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan-Francisco Saavedra hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. A collision led to Albir fc getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Juan-Francisco Saavedra hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Renatinho Linhares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ponc Leyva. That made the score 0-4 in the 59 minute of play. Julen Morales hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Vinícius Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derwin Comas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ponc Leyva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renatinho Linhares's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Eusébio Magalhães received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ponc Leyva came out and tried to block the shot, but Eusébio Magalhães slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Albir fc getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Nofre Prieto hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Eusébio Magalhães broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Eusébio Magalhães could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Ponc Leyva however easily saved by the left post. The audience was convinced that Renatinho Linhares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ponc Leyva was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. A collision led to Cruzeiro Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ian Abreu hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Renatinho Linhares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ponc Leyva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 90 minutes, Eusébio Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Magalhães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Derwin Comas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ponc Leyva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renatinho Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Cruzeiro Esporte Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Albir fc.
