The goal made the score 1-0. 37 minutes into the match, Giannis Papakostopoulos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabian Pello. Scofield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giannis Papakostopoulos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Scofield's Roman Elorri got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The supporters of Scofield booed when Go Ahead Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Tsartas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th match minute, Scofield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Donio to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Giannis Papakostopoulos scored 3-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabian Pello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Scofield's Nicasio Frederico got a free kick in the 57th minute. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when Scofield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicasio Frederico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camilo Maxin kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Fabian Pello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chatziioannou Kakratsas in the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Go Ahead Eagles's Miltos Theriaklis got a free kick in the 70th minute. Fabian Pello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chatziioannou Kakratsas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aaron Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Pello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Themistoklis Charalambakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicasio Frederico in the 84th minute of the match. Adolfo Colon hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Scofield's Fabian Pello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giannis Papakostopoulos in the 89th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Scofield players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Go Ahead Eagles.
