In the 18th minute, Giannis Papakostopoulos made a precise shot to the right of Norbert Pietrasz. Przełęcz Dukla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The Przełęcz Dukla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norbert Pietrasz should have stopped the shot. Norbert Pietrasz came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Go Ahead Eagles's Stamatis Lakerdas. But to his dismay, Stamatis Lakerdas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giannis Papakostopoulos was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Przełęcz Dukla's Andrzej Pacholewski got a free kick in the 55th minute. Chatziioannou Kakratsas, 56 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Przełęcz Dukla's Andrzej Pacholewski got a free kick in the 57th minute. Go Ahead Eagles's Giorgos Tsartas got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 1-8 when Giorgos Tsartas sped through Przełęcz Dukla's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Norbert Pietrasz. A collision led to Przełęcz Dukla getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Andrzej Pacholewski hit a great ball. Przełęcz Dukla's Franciszek Komanski was substituted for Wasyl Majerowicz. Przełęcz Dukla's Konstanty Dziewulski was substituted for Gwidon Bielenda. In the 81st minute, Andrzej Pacholewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, Przełęcz Dukla's goal looked a bit too open when Chatziioannou Kakratsas came free, but Norbert Pietrasz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Themistoklis Charalambakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyprian Dembowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chatziioannou Kakratsas in the 87th minute of play forced Przełęcz Dukla's goalkeeper Norbert Pietrasz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norbert Pietrasz made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Giannis Papakostopoulos sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when Przełęcz Dukla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrzej Pacholewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Go Ahead Eagles's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
