In the 45thth minute of the game Jairo Malheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The wind increased when Jairo Malheiro made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the game José Luis Gayà made a throw-in which Joe Herring played forward. With a little luck, Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge got control of the ball when Jairo Malheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noe Seedorf in the 87th minute of play forced Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper Jerry Lodge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
