After having played for 11 minutes, Florentin Gougeon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valencia C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Florentin Gougeon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 played minutes Valencia C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Arias. Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Peru in the 17th minute of the match. Valencia C.F.'s Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Uxio in the 19th minute of play. If Florentin Gougeon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Berutti FC's goalkeeper Mark Wenerdahl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonny Logan. In the 25th minute Florentin Gougeon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Wenerdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 played minutes Berutti FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Inko. Valencia C.F. made a substitution. Jude Farmer replaced Jurand Moryl. In the 30th match minute, Berutti FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Inko to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Faustino Arnau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jonny Logan came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Valencia C.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonny Logan couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the match, Florentin Gougeon notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Berutti FC's Mark Wenerdahl. Mark Wenerdahl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a little luck, Valencia C.F.'s Santiago Cañizares got control of the ball when Timoteo Peru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timoteo Peru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Santiago Cañizares made a huge save. 59 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edelmiro Cheche. 64 minutes into the game, Al Capone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valencia C.F.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Berutti FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Valencia C.F.'s Al Capone got a free kick in the 65th minute. Santiago Cañizares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Cheche in the 65th minute of play. But to his dismay, Florentin Gougeon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 89th minute Timoteo Peru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Cañizares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mark Wenerdahl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aziz Gustaman went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Valencia C.F. had won after a very even match.
