Yala's Lv Zhen Li played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Richter in the 5th minute of play. SV Bad Harzburg's Tim Wiese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yavuz Acabay in the 11th minute of play. Tim Wiese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwendal Puig in the 17th minute of play. When Yala's Gwendal Puig, in the 17th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Yala. 19 minutes into the game, one of SV Bad Harzburg:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 21 minutes of play, Yala's Esteve Abechuco made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tim Wiese was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Yala getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Esteve Abechuco hit a great ball. After some careless play in the SV Bad Harzburg defense, Gwendal Puig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tim Wiese. The SV Bad Harzburg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tim Wiese should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the game, Eckard Döngelli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SV Bad Harzburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yala the free kick. After a rather tough play, SV Bad Harzburg's Eckard Döngelli got a free kick in the 31st minute. Alberto Jaunti took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tim Wiese. SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tim Wiese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niki Bundev in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Yala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Abechuco to maneuver through the defense. Lv Zhen Li took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Halldor Sönksen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lv Zhen Li made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Schulten in the 38th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Yala got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Jaunti. Lv Zhen Li took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Halldor Sönksen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Halldor Sönksen made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Yala got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Jaunti. In the 53rd minute, Higinio Fidencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars Schira got free with Lv Zhen Li in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lv Zhen Li showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eckard Döngelli in the 55th minute of the match. Niki Bundev hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Teodor Covaci in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Yala's Jeremias Derwin. The crowd rose to their feet as SV Bad Harzburg's Eckard Döngelli slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lv Zhen Li. That made the score 2-2 after 67 minutes of play. In the 75th minute Niki Bundev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Wiese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Yavuz Acabay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Tim Wiese was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Freddy Claude's late challenge caught a SV Bad Harzburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddy Claude helped the player get up and apologised. Freddy Claude kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the SV Bad Harzburg players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Yala.
