Baudelio Santa Ana came out of the goal and Niki Bundev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Avaria in the 19th minute of play forced Yala's goalkeeper Lv Zhen Li to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baudelio Santa Ana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yavuz Acabay in the 20th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Yala's Niki Bundev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baudelio Santa Ana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Baudelio Santa Ana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yavuz Acabay's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Capo de Provincia's Jeronimo Avaria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lv Zhen Li narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lv Zhen Li was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Osvaldo Sánchez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Osvaldo Sánchez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Osvaldo Sánchez might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lv Zhen Li. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldo Sánchez ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Epifanío Mejia kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Lv Zhen Li showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeronimo Avaria in the 54th minute of the match. Yala's Lv Zhen Li played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Sánchez in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Yala getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Yavuz Acabay hit a great ball. A collision led to Capo de Provincia getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Soriano Monckeberg hit a great ball. Yavuz Acabay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Baudelio Santa Ana made a huge save. When Yavuz Acabay came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Yala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yavuz Acabay couldn't finish the play. Lv Zhen Li took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeronimo Avaria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baudelio Santa Ana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yavuz Acabay, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After a rather tough play, Yala's Niki Bundev got a free kick in the 75th minute. Lv Zhen Li made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Sánchez in the 77th minute of play. Capo de Provincia's Baudelio Santa Ana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Capo de Provincia from getting a goal against them. 89 minutes into the game, Epifanío Mejia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capo de Provincia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yala the free kick. After 89 played minutes Capo de Provincia got a freekick which was hit by Epifanío Mejia. 91 minutes into the match, Capo de Provincia's goal looked a bit too open when Yavuz Acabay came free, but Baudelio Santa Ana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 played minutes Yala got a freekick which was hit by Armando Ritchie. Lv Zhen Li stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeronimo Avaria's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Capo de Provincia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
