The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Berutti FC's Orlando Mouricio got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 5 minutes of play, Berutti FC's Edelmiro Cheche made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Maria Pontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 8th minute Edelmiro Cheche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berutti FC were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after COURO COME FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Orlando Mouricio took the corner. Berutti FC's Orlando Mouricio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but José Maria Pontes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Berutti FC's Mark Wenerdahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Berutti FC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edelmiro Cheche in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Maria Pontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, COURO COME FC's Cleiton Severo got a free kick in the 26th minute. After some careless play in the COURO COME FC defense, Timoteo Peru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Maria Pontes. The COURO COME FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Maria Pontes should have stopped the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Duarte Mineiro in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Berutti FC's Orlando Mouricio. 36 minutes into the game, Berutti FC's Orlando Mouricio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Maria Pontes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After 39 minutes of play, Berutti FC's Timoteo Peru made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Maria Pontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! It was a well-played corner which Gaudencio Inko managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Mark Wenerdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bata Palma in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Berutti FC were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Duarte Mineiro made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Berutti FC booed when COURO COME FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute Orlando Mouricio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Berutti FC's Nicanor Piorno got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute Timoteo Peru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Maria Pontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timoteo Peru in the 59th minute. José Maria Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Peru in the 60th minute of the match. Mark Wenerdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulisses da Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute Edelmiro Cheche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute of the match, Nicanor Piorno tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Maria Pontes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mark Wenerdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bata Palma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timoteo Peru got free with José Maria Pontes in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 73 minutes into the game, Edelmiro Cheche recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Maria Pontes. Edelmiro Cheche showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. In the 81st minute Timoteo Peru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edelmiro Cheche in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Maria Pontes saved COURO COME FC from getting behind. 86 minutes into the match, Timoteo Peru dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of José Maria Pontes, 0-9. In the 90th minute Edelmiro Cheche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berutti FC's Camilo Uxio got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Berutti FC booed when COURO COME FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleiton Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. COURO COME FC made a substitution. Túlio Arantes replaced Cleiton Severo. Berutti FC played a much better game than COURO COME FC and deserved their victory. The COURO COME FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
