Yala's Armando Ritchie got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Niki Bundev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Arrigo Capone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteve Abechuco charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esteve Abechuco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Esteve Abechuco kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Lv Zhen Li showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrico Tassotti, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enrico Tassotti was the one to do the kick off. Arrigo Capone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Ritchie in the 51st minute of the match.
