Alcorcón's protests and gave Manolo Bacete a yellow card for diving instead. Manolo Bacete kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Banegas in the 8th minute of play forced A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manolo Bacete struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Danijel Subašić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.D. Alcorcón. Belo Alvarez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Danijel Subašić made a huge save. In the 20th minute, Nicasio Fonda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Danijel Subašić successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Maurino Serena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew Dalli in the 23rd minute of the match. After 24 minutes of play, Esmeralda AFC's David Banegas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurino Serena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maurino Serena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Banegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Belo Alvarez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Danijel Subašić, 1-1. Maurino Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Banegas in the 37th minute of play. Maurino Serena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew Dalli in the 43rd minute of the match. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by A.D. Alcorcón's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Devidatta Vendetta was slow to take the kick. During this time Esmeralda AFC's players had a chance to rest. Belo Alvarez charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Belo Alvarez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th minute David Banegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurino Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Belo Alvarez to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Banegas got free with Maurino Serena in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to A.D. Alcorcón getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Manolo Bacete hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, A.D. Alcorcón's Manolo Bacete got a free kick in the 57th minute. David Banegas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Maurino Serena firmly grabbed it by the left post. 62 minutes into the match, Esmeralda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Belo Alvarez came free, but Danijel Subašić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurino Serena was a little too slow when David Banegas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-2. Maurino Serena made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when David Banegas sent off a good shot on target. Danijel Subašić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belo Alvarez in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esmeralda AFC's goalkeeper Danijel Subašić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 84th minute Eloy Calvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurino Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Eloy Calvino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maurino Serena was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. A.D. Alcorcón made a substitution. Isaac Ortiz replaced Belo Alvarez. Manolo Bacete's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danijel Subašić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Danijel Subašić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Esmeralda AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
