Eloy Calvino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ricardo Ceberiche came out and tried to block the shot, but Eloy Calvino slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 42nd minute. In the 48th minute of the match Roneros F.C. got a corner. Esmeralda AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cordero Aberasturi ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Roneros F.C.'s Cordero Aberasturi to fire away a dangerous shot which Jorge Armani despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Witomir Jestrimski made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Umbruso Salvadios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 57 played minutes Roneros F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Umbruso Salvadios. Roneros F.C.'s Ricardo Ceberiche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Devidatta Vendetta in the 64th minute of play. Zülfü Sungur hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Jorge Armani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romão Mourato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was Cordero Aberasturi who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Esmeralda AFC's goalie and right to Washington Piedrahita. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Esmeralda AFC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Alejandro Espina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Armani having to make a save. 73 minutes into the match, Roneros F.C.'s Alejandro Espina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Armani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Andrew Dalli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Ceberiche. Roneros F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrew Dalli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Esmeralda AFC's Di Yong Yu was substituted for Nicasio Fonda. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Esmeralda AFC's goalkeeper Jorge Armani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Roneros F.C. getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ortiz Apellaniz hit a great ball. Ricardo Ceberiche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Devidatta Vendetta, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Jorge Armani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Espina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
