But to his dismay, Eloy Calvino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Svante Valrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Calvino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Calvino in the 45th minute of play forced ★ Lobos FC ★'s goalkeeper Svante Valrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrew Dalli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svante Valrot having to interfere. The ★ Lobos FC ★ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Esmeralda AFC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Haroldo Alfonso to strike the kick off in the second half. Jorge Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kalle Österberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 57 played minutes ★ Lobos FC ★ got a freekick which was hit by Raphaël Varane. The Esmeralda AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
