Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pascual Lamberto kicked off to start the match. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Waldir Araújo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Waldir Araújo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Pascual Lamberto sent off a good shot on target. In the 14th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. Gabriel Milito kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of C. S. Peron y Belgrano's Waldir Araújo. Waldir Araújo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. C. S. Peron y Belgrano's Waldir Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of play. The corner led to C. S. Peron y Belgrano's Placido Montay getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 34 minutes into the match, C. S. Peron y Belgrano's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Waldir Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Lamberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C. S. Peron y Belgrano's goalie prevented a goal. C. S. Peron y Belgrano's Pascual Lamberto got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Araújo having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. With a little luck, C. S. Peron y Belgrano's Waldir Araújo got control of the ball when Luis Andino tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Pascual Lamberto came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the C. S. Peron y Belgrano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascual Lamberto couldn't finish the play. Waldir Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Waldir Araújo made a huge save. C. S. Peron y Belgrano's Waldir Araújo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save C. S. Peron y Belgrano from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, C. S. Peron y Belgrano's Waldir Araújo got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Pascual Lamberto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pascual Lamberto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pascual Lamberto in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. A throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game was made by Primitivo Andino with Felix Montenegro as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 85 minutes into the match, Pascual Lamberto notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 90th minute C. S. Peron y Belgrano were awarded a corner. Pascual Lamberto went to the cornerflag to take it. When Pascual Lamberto came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the C. S. Peron y Belgrano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascual Lamberto couldn't finish the play. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
