The referee ignored Rompe Tibias Club's protests and gave Honorio Kaiet a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Rompe Tibias Club's Honorio Kaiet got a free kick in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 12th minute of play forced Rompe Tibias Club's goalkeeper Rene Gil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Gil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 17 minutes of play, Panama's Tomas Berganza made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rene Gil was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Basajaun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Ciriaco Sadurni tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Gil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Ciriaco Sadurni sent off a good shot on target. Miguel Miralles kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 37th minute of play forced Rompe Tibias Club's goalkeeper Rene Gil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Basajaun in the 41st minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Gil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rene Gil saved Rompe Tibias Club from getting behind. A collision led to Rompe Tibias Club getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Honorio Kaiet hit a great ball. After the first half Panama were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ariel Osorio to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Abraham Alguacil mouthed his way into the referee's book. In the 59th match minute, Rompe Tibias Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Osorio to maneuver through the defense. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 62 in the game by Abraham Alguacil from a close distance when the talented Rene Gil managed to make a qualified save. Rompe Tibias Club's players were relieved. 63 minutes into the match, Ciriaco Sadurni notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 67th minute Ciriaco Sadurni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Rompe Tibias Club's Ciriaco Sadurni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
