When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. Efrain Moruga made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by The Blues's Thorkild Lindekær. In the 60th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Ferrant's late challenge caught a The Blues's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Ferrant helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After 63 minutes of play, The Blues's Henning Fjordskov made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Henning Fjordskov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Henning Fjordskov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 68th minute. Axel Tasis made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by The Blues's Fillip Horsdam. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 79th minute. When Axel Tasis fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Axel Tasis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, Axel Tasis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th match minute, The Blues was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henning Fjordskov to maneuver through the defense. The Blues walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
