In the 9th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Halcones's Claudio Abeijon. But to his dismay, Claudio Abeijon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Siro Lore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Halcones's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Miromir Bochinski in the 28th minute. David Poncio made a great header on Halcones's corner, it was just that Costa Rica's Benito Sanz managed to reach the ball for a save. Siro Lore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Puig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elpidio Silviano kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Axel Tasis kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute of the match Israel Gabino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. The Costa Rica fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Costa Rica's Axel Tasis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miromir Bochinski in the 64th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Siro Lore was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Miromir Bochinski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Halcones booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Efrain Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Efrain Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Abeijon came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Halcones's goalkeeper Siro Lore, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
