After having played for 2 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gallo Crisis's Pipo Orihuela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gallo Crisis's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willem-Alexander Uytebroeck in the 14th minute of play. Pipo Orihuela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play. When Jorge Laeremans fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gallo Crisis's protests and gave Jorge Laeremans a yellow card for diving instead. Jorge Laeremans kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Gallo Crisis getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jorge Laeremans hit a great ball. Pipo Orihuela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 38th minute of the match. After having played for 42 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willem-Alexander Uytebroeck in the 47th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Gallo Crisis defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pipo Orihuela. The Gallo Crisis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pipo Orihuela should have stopped the shot. Willem-Alexander Uytebroeck struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gallo Crisis. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Pipo Orihuela in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Pipo Orihuela managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Pipo Orihuela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willem-Alexander Uytebroeck in the 66th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gallo Crisis's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arnoud Koppen in the 67th minute. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Pipo Orihuela in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nino Orihuela kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willem-Alexander Uytebroeck in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 85 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Willem-Alexander Uytebroeck came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Nino Orihuela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pipo Orihuela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Gallo Crisis getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Jilian Verhaghen hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pipo Orihuela having to interfere. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Gallo Crisis to leave the ground with a draw.
