Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomas Illescas made the kick off which started today's match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Noremberg in the 2nd minute of the match. In the 2nd play minute Hugo Noremberg came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 1-0. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Juan Ibañez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Picapiedras FC's Bala Cañon got a free kick in the 13th minute. If Hugo Noremberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Ibañez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hugo Noremberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Hugo Noremberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 27 minutes into the match, Hugo Noremberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bala Cañon, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Russ Barton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 in the 41 minute of play. Ivan Hopgood hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Bala Cañon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugo Noremberg made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Patricio Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Ibañez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Juan Ibañez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Picapiedras FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Noremberg in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Tomas Illescas sped through Picapiedras FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juan Ibañez. The Picapiedras FC fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Picapiedras FC's Hugo Noremberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Inocencio Iago charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inocencio Iago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Inocencio Iago hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After 73 played minutes Picapiedras FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Hopgood. In the 74th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Ibañez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Bala Cañon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Picapiedras FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Noremberg in the 79th minute of play. A hard shot 83 in the game by Tomas Illescas from a close distance when the talented Juan Ibañez managed to make a qualified save. Picapiedras FC's players were relieved. In the 91st minute of the match Hugo Noremberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Ivan Hopgood left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Picapiedras FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Picapiedras FC fully deserved thier win.
