Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 5th minute, Alberto Raiola fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Mohamed Hanin came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the VERDENA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohamed Hanin couldn't finish the play. If Amerigo Locatelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes in the game, Alberto Raiola fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Benito Sanz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Raiola in the 11th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Armin Milanese advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-0 in the 13th minute. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Raiola in the 16th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amerigo Locatelli in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Amerigo Locatelli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 23rd minute, VERDENA FC's Alberto Raiola dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Alberto Raiola dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 4-0. After 35 played minutes Alberto Raiola rounded Costa Rica's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 5-0. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by VERDENA FC's Mohamed Hanin. But to his dismay, Mohamed Hanin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. After 41 played minutes, VERDENA FC's Damian Bulkiewicz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in VERDENA FC reached it. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Alberto Raiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 minutes of play, VERDENA FC's Amerigo Locatelli made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Locatelli in the 59th minute of play. VERDENA FC's Enzo Bolognesi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save VERDENA FC from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute Costa Rica were awarded a corner. Axel Tasis went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Axel Tasis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Enzo Bolognesi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Locatelli in the 63rd minute of play. Damian Bulkiewicz took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Raiola in the 68th minute of the match. When VERDENA FC's Amerigo Locatelli in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amerigo Locatelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Mohamed Hanin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Alberto Raiola came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the VERDENA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Raiola couldn't finish the play. After 88 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. Alberto Raiola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Mohamed Hanin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that VERDENA FC were the better team. VERDENA FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
