Virgilio Gainzarain was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 14 minutes into the game, Panathinaikos's Vahdet Olgun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Virgilio Gainzarain made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Virgilio Gainzarain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vahdet Olgun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgilio Gainzarain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 刘洋朗, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Virgilio Gainzarain came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Panathinaikos's Ruben Damario. But to his dismay, Ruben Damario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. A collision led to Manicomio de Tasmania getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Aureo Moraza hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Vahdet Olgun made a precise shot to the right of Virgilio Gainzarain. Manicomio de Tasmania's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. After a rather tough play, Manicomio de Tasmania's Jonas Garaizar got a free kick in the 36th minute. Virgilio Gainzarain came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Panathinaikos's 刘洋朗. But to his dismay, 刘洋朗 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. Vahdet Olgun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Virgilio Gainzarain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Manicomio de Tasmania defense, 刘洋朗 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgilio Gainzarain. The Manicomio de Tasmania fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgilio Gainzarain should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-10 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vahdet Olgun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Virgilio Gainzarain didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lenny Hoarau went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-11 was the resulting score. Manicomio de Tasmania's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Vahdet Olgun scored to the left of an out of position Virgilio Gainzarain, making the score, 0-12. Virgilio Gainzarain didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lenny Hoarau went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-13 was the resulting score. Panathinaikos's Gerard Swee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simao Requena in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Lenny Hoarau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panathinaikos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-14. In the 68th minute, Lenny Hoarau made a precise shot to the right of Virgilio Gainzarain. Manicomio de Tasmania's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-15. Virgilio Gainzarain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 刘洋朗, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Lenny Hoarau took a quick shot and it went in 0-18 without a chance for Virgilio Gainzarain to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by 刘洋朗 in the 90th minute of play forced Manicomio de Tasmania's goalkeeper Virgilio Gainzarain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Lenny Hoarau kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Virgilio Gainzarain. That made the score 0-21 in the 93 minute of play.
