The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's zone, Horácio Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles Sarmento came out of the goal and Horácio Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Palmeiras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Falcão Marques scored to the left of an out of position Váldson de Queirós, making the score, 1-0. Váldson de Queirós came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Falcão Marques. But to his dismay, Falcão Marques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The audience cheered when Falcão Marques's long shot passed Váldson de Queirós's right side. It was 3-0, 21 minutes into the match. Váldson de Queirós made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Falcão Marques sent off a good shot on target. Falcão Marques's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Váldson de Queirós skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 36th minute, Adalberto Vianna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rondinone F.C - FDFDF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Váldson de Queirós was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Falcão Marques capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Falcão Marques really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Palmeiras made a substitution. Zézinho Albuquerque replaced Armando da Mata. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldinho Cosme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Palmeiras's Váldson de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil dos Santos in the 54th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Vianna came free, but Váldson de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute Adalberto Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Váldson de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Marques in the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to Palmeiras getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ronaldinho Cosme hit a great ball. In the 66th minute of the match Rafinha Sergipano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Váldson de Queirós showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil dos Santos in the 68th minute of play forced Palmeiras's goalkeeper Váldson de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF made a substitution. Hermínio Maciel replaced João Vítor Alves. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Tiago Fontes was substituted for Adriano Secco. Charles Sarmento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Palmeiras's Váldson de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Marques in the 79th minute of play. Emerson Maciel hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Váldson de Queirós came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Luís Eduardo Arce. But to his dismay, Luís Eduardo Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. 94 minutes into the match, Luís Eduardo Arce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Váldson de Queirós. Palmeiras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Eduardo Arce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0.
