The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valeriu Povară was the one to do the kick off. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederick Kallquist having to interfere. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Frederick Kallquist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cristian Sancho scored 0-3 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frederick Kallquist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriu Povară in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute Octav Isvoreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
