Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grzegorz Sitko having to interfere. Grzegorz Sitko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 34th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kanuni-Sultan Süleyman in the 37th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kanuni-Sultan Süleyman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 46 minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grzegorz Sitko having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claes Ahlfors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Alex Cambeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when David Gonsalvo put in a rough tackle. In the 70th minute, one of Red City Marrakech:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Red City Marrakech. The excitement rose when Panama's Abraham Alguacil after 72 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Red City Marrakech's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-2. Nils-Åke Glanselius's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils-Åke Glanselius helped the player get up and apologised. Isidoro Sarmiento hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopold Teurfs in the 90th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grzegorz Sitko made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Isidoro Sarmiento sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Panama eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
