Dimitris Pirtsos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th match minute, Lipochσrion FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thodoris Vlastarakis to maneuver through the defense. Dimitris Pirtsos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Lipochσrion FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Dimitris Pirtsos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Lipochσrion FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thodoris Vlastarakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Lipochσrion FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Dimitris Pirtsos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dimitris Pirtsos. Dimitris Pirtsos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 24 minutes into the match, Lipochσrion FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Dimitris Pirtsos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lipochσrion FC's Dimitris Pirtsos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitris Pirtsos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitris Pirtsos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dimitris Pirtsos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vassilis Mavrofridis made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dimitris Pirtsos. Dimitris Pirtsos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. During the 57th minute of the match Thodoris Vlastarakis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Thodoris Vlastarakis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Dimitris Pirtsos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Dimitris Pirtsos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Saelices in the 65th minute. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Dimitris Pirtsos to make any attempt to save it. Lipochσrion FC's Dimitris Pirtsos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Lipochσrion FC from getting a goal against them. A well done corner resulted in Luis Andino drilling the ball in to score 0-5 behind Lipochσrion FC's goalkeeper. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitris Pirtsos having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dimitris Pirtsos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Andino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Dimitris Pirtsos made a huge save. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dimitris Pirtsos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Dimitris Pirtsos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Dimitris Pirtsos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lipochσrion FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimitris Pirtsos came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador played a much better game than Lipochσrion FC and deserved their victory. The Lipochσrion FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
