Leszek Mojsiewicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Sebastian Torrico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 12th minute of play. Guandacol FC's Sebastian Torrico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 18th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Guandacol FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Sebastian Torrico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leszek Mojsiewicz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Dante Lacasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 40th minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 44th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Torrico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Guandacol FC's Sebastian Torrico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Guandacol FC from getting a goal against them. Sebastian Torrico was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberto Tafalla showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 63 minute of play. In the 65th minute of the match, Alberto Tafalla tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sebastian Torrico saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 66 minutes Guandacol FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in Guandacol FC's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Torrico came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Mexico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
