When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Hu Jian Yi sped through Vaz FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vladimiro Medeiros. Vladimiro Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amos Bellomo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Amos Bellomo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hu Jian Yi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Arrifana FC's goalkeeper Hélio Póvoas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Mourinho. Arrifana FC's Hélio Póvoas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Xabel in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Plácido Saraiva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Vladimiro Medeiros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 28 played minutes Vaz FC got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Abreu. Hu Jian Yi took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vladimiro Medeiros. Vladimiro Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. If Hu Jian Yi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th match minute, Vaz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Mourinho to maneuver through the defense. Tomé Figueiras made in the 38th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Domingos Abreu immediately put the ball in play. In the 39th minute Amos Bellomo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hu Jian Yi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Vladimiro Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hu Jian Yi made a kick off. Vladimiro Medeiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toni Huarte in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Vaz FC's goalkeeper Vladimiro Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toni Huarte. Arrifana FC played a much better game than Vaz FC and deserved their victory. The Vaz FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
