LaZuli's Jorge Infante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Taveira in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Mira Sintra were awarded a corner. Wendy Irama went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of LaZuli's goalie and right to Paulo Bento. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. LaZuli's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Infante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jorge Infante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amauri van Beek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, LaZuli's goal looked a bit too open when Amauri van Beek came free, but Jorge Infante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. LaZuli were furious when Tommy Hellström was red carded, 85 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Jorge Infante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateo Rusin in the 93rd minute of the match. João Brites made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joan Queralt in the 99th minute of play.
