Ove Hake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kamil Mącidym in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nils Liedholm IF's Jörgen Bjurström got a free kick in the 21st minute. Slawomir Rutecki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Ove Hake made a huge save. Norbert Pietrasz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birger Kleen, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After some careless play in the Przełęcz Dukla defense, Jörgen Bjurström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norbert Pietrasz. The Przełęcz Dukla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norbert Pietrasz should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute Kalle Norström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Pietrasz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute of the match, Kamil Mącidym tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ove Hake saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 42 played minutes Nils Liedholm IF got a freekick which was hit by Marc Juhlin. Przełęcz Dukla were furious when Andrzej Pacholewski was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 44th minute, one of Przełęcz Dukla:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Przełęcz Dukla. The referee gave Nils Liedholm IF a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marc Juhlin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Przełęcz Dukla's Norbert Pietrasz. 4-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 72 minutes, Einar Borre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nils Liedholm IF and the Przełęcz Dukla players grew even worse after the yellow card. Birger Kleen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Norbert Pietrasz came out and tried to block the shot, but Birger Kleen slotted it home off the left post making it 4-3 in the 82nd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Przełęcz Dukla's goalkeeper Norbert Pietrasz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Birger Kleen. Ove Hake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyprian Dembowski in the 89th minute of play. Cyprian Dembowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ove Hake tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norbert Pietrasz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörgen Bjurström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Przełęcz Dukla fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nils Liedholm IF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
