The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harold Rodenboog in the 10th minute of play forced FC Hyklerne's goalkeeper Jannich Drevsing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inácio Amaral struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Jannich Drevsing didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Kasteelheren. De Kasteelheren's Inácio Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Inácio Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jannich Drevsing was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 26th minute Inácio Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannich Drevsing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. De Kasteelheren's Anatoliy Gvozdevych got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jannich Drevsing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harold Rodenboog in the 31st minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Anthony Hillen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jannich Drevsing quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Harold Rodenboog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 45 minutes into the match, De Kasteelheren's Inácio Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jannich Drevsing narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Inácio Amaral to make the kick off. Jannich Drevsing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdi Vorenkamp in the 51st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Inácio Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jannich Drevsing was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. De Kasteelheren's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jannich Drevsing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute Inácio Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannich Drevsing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fokke Meijeringh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Nørrehvedde in the 78th minute of play. Iwo Fafinski kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Godofredo Vistruario hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, Inácio Amaral notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of FC Hyklerne's Jannich Drevsing. Jannich Drevsing was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Inácio Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Inácio Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jannich Drevsing. FC Hyklerne's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Inácio Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0.
