If Don Merlot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 6th minute, Niclas Monschke ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zachary Majczyk was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Zachary Majczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don Merlot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niclas Monschke scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zachary Majczyk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kryspin Cupial was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mieszko Augustyniak. Don Merlot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zachary Majczyk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. SSV Ulm 1846 were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Gunners ARS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sven-Olof Lilja took the corner. After taking down the ball on SSV Ulm 1846's corner Sven-Olof Lilja fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zachary Majczyk quite easily take care of the ball. In the 29th minute, Don Merlot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zachary Majczyk was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Zachary Majczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niclas Monschke in the 33rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maciej Tokarczyk during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 played minutes Gunners ARS got a freekick which was hit by Maciej Tokarczyk. In the 38th minute Niclas Monschke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zachary Majczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Don Merlot was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niclas Monschke in the 51st minute of play forced Gunners ARS's goalkeeper Zachary Majczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zachary Majczyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Don Merlot in the 56th minute. In the 56th minute, Stephane Bosch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zachary Majczyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niclas Monschke, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Gunners ARS's Zachary Majczyk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Gunners ARS from getting a goal against them. Zachary Majczyk was a little too slow when Don Merlot got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-6. Don Merlot in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zachary Majczyk, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Zachary Majczyk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Don Merlot went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Sven-Olof Lilja kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Gunners ARS defense, Don Merlot kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zachary Majczyk. The Gunners ARS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zachary Majczyk should have stopped the shot. Zachary Majczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niclas Monschke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zachary Majczyk was a little too slow when Niclas Monschke got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-9. The SSV Ulm 1846 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SSV Ulm 1846 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
