When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Sten Blixt sped through Nils Liedholm IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ove Hake. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Gogo Columbo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Lions FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gogo Columbo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ove Hake breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 58 played minutes Sten Blixt rounded Nils Liedholm IF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-9. In the 61st minute, Sten Blixt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jörgen Bjurström during the 66th minute. Nils Liedholm IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruslan Goloveshko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-13. Blue Lions FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
