The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aleksander Kissel took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lech Latkiewicz. Lech Latkiewicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cezary Kucharski got free with Radowit Trzaskoma in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Radomil Barys kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa 【L】's goal looked a bit too open when Aleksander Kissel came free, but Lech Latkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Radowit Trzaskoma made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Bogdan Poreda sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute, Benoit Van Bettenrode ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lech Latkiewicz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The audience was convinced that Aleksander Kissel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lech Latkiewicz was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 26th match minute, FA Sandtown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Larsson to maneuver through the defense. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benoit Van Bettenrode in the 68th minute of play forced Legia Warszawa 【L】's goalkeeper Lech Latkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
