Karapinar's Marcus Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Karapinar's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Marcus Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Çağdaş Ersayın in the 21st minute. Okan Golovichev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Marcus Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Peru's Eliseo Mina in the 90th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Marcus Mazza was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Karapinar through an amazing save. 91 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Baki Yamaç came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Karapinar's Marcus Mazza got control of the ball when Rafael Gallo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Gallo got free with Marcus Mazza in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
