With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ate Oldenbeuving in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexander Strzelczyk saved SSV Ulm 1846 from getting behind. Alexander Strzelczyk didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when De Kasteelheren's Ate Oldenbeuving shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. De Kasteelheren's Bernard Mülder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save De Kasteelheren from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 68th minute Kassian Rinke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Mülder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ate Oldenbeuving in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alexander Strzelczyk, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 80 minutes, Ate Oldenbeuving managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Kasteelheren's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ate Oldenbeuving was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sjoerd van Asten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Alexander Strzelczyk made a huge save. Amadeo Brase made in the 90th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by De Kasteelheren's Hans-Cees Mol. Sjoerd van Asten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Strzelczyk having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Kassian Rinke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernard Mülder. De Kasteelheren's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kassian Rinke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The De Kasteelheren supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing De Kasteelheren would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
