San Fernando Eagles's Saul Etxeberri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save San Fernando Eagles from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd minute Marcial Bras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Mülder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sjoerd van Asten in the 95th minute of play forced San Fernando Eagles's goalkeeper Saul Etxeberri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. De Kasteelheren had played much better football throughout.
