In the 44th minute, Remigio Arias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Remigio Arias might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ove Hake. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Remigio Arias ran back to his position shaking his head.

San Fernando Eagles's Eustacio Perfecto was substituted for Santos Confesor. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remigio Arias to make the kick off. When Harry Wennerquist fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nils Liedholm IF's protests and gave Harry Wennerquist a yellow card for diving instead. The Nils Liedholm IF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. San Fernando Eagles were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
