The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4thth minute of the game Leonardo Baraquiel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Fernando Eagles's Saul Etxeberri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 6th minute, Iker Paul made a precise shot to the right of Saul Etxeberri. San Fernando Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Deportivo Diamante U18 booed when San Fernando Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Erramun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saul Etxeberri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Paul in the 12th minute of the match. Deportivo Diamante U18's Leonardo Baraquiel got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saul Etxeberri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Timo in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Iker Paul had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Saul Etxeberri. San Fernando Eagles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iker Paul was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Remigio Arias hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22ndth minute of the game Iker Paul who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Fernando Eagles's Saul Etxeberri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Baraquiel in the 23rd minute of play forced San Fernando Eagles's goalkeeper Saul Etxeberri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 played minutes Deportivo Diamante U18 got a freekick which was hit by Bartolo Txordon. Abelardo Berriotxoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th match minute, San Fernando Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Bras to maneuver through the defense. Saul Etxeberri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lázaro Timo's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Donato Macerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Arias, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. San Fernando Eagles's Saul Etxeberri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Timo in the 34th minute of play. Deportivo Diamante U18's Donato Macerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santos Confesor in the 35th minute of play. If Mario Chorche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saul Etxeberri came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Diamante U18's Lázaro Timo. But to his dismay, Lázaro Timo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Teodosio Herensuge was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the game, one of San Fernando Eagles:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Deportivo Diamante U18. Ulises Frutos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Saul Etxeberri. 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcial Bras was the one to do the kick off. Eustacio Perfecto kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. With a little luck, San Fernando Eagles's Saul Etxeberri got control of the ball when Lázaro Timo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Saul Etxeberri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iker Paul's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. A collision led to San Fernando Eagles getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Santiago Eduino hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Deportivo Diamante U18's Ulises Frutos tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Marcial Bras managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Fernando Eagles's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcial Bras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Macerio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Leonardo Baraquiel took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Saul Etxeberri to make any attempt to save it. In the 75th match minute, Deportivo Diamante U18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Timo to maneuver through the defense. Iker Paul could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Saul Etxeberri made a huge save. Lázaro Timos short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Saul Etxeberri to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 85 minutes into the game, Eriberto Jaunti recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Saul Etxeberri. Eriberto Jaunti showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. San Fernando Eagles's Saul Etxeberri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save San Fernando Eagles from getting a goal against them. Saul Etxeberri was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Iker Paul capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iker Paul really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. 98 minutes into the game, Lázaro Timo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Saul Etxeberri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Deportivo Diamante U18 played a much better game than San Fernando Eagles and deserved their victory. The San Fernando Eagles players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
